Harness the power of gravity
Gravity or Roller Conveyors
Roller conveyors, commonly used as “gravity conveyors,” are ideal for moving cartons, totes and trays with a flat bottom. Roller conveyors are available in mild steel as well as stainless steel and aluminum. Widths are determined by the product dimensions, but should be approximately 3” wider than the widest product to be conveyed. The frame can also be designed to incorporate a natural guardrail to keep the product confined and/or to carry oversized products. We will be happy to help you determine the correct configuration for your particular application.
Gravity Silos
Gravity silos are used specifically to transfer product from a higher elevation to a lower elevation. Curved, spiral frames are assembled to create a guided path for the product to pass safely. Infeed and outfeed conveyors can be either powered or gravity. Infeed and outfeed height and rate of drop are custom built to your specifications.
Skatewheel Conveyors
Skatewheel conveyors are suitable for lighter loads that may require a temporary installation. They come in various configurations, but the operating principle is the same. A number of individual galvanized wheels are spaced on a round threaded shaft separated by galvanized spacers. The shaft is contained within formed punched frames by retaining nuts.
Galvanized construction provides excellent durability for applications such as warehouse and the food delivery industry. Custom or standard legs can be provided in various heights in bolt-on configurations. Many styles of skatewheel conveyors are in stock and available for immediate shipment including straights, curves, and spurs.
Accordion Conveyors
Extendable roller conveyors or “accordion” conveyors are used to span an area that is temporarily used to transfer product. A typical application would be a shipping dock where product needs to be loaded from the shipping area into the truck. Afterwards, the accordion conveyor is simply collapsed and then relocated until needed, leaving the area clear for other operations. The accordion conveyor can also “bend” to accommodate alignment options. The skatewheel design promotes product orientation throughout the serpentine configuration
Ball Transfer Tables
Ball Transfer Tables come in various configurations, but the operating principle is the same. Numerous steel ball transfers are mounted in a variety of center-to-center locations onto a steel frame. Ball transfer tables allow complete freedom of movement of the product in all directions. Numerous standard configurations are in stock for immediate shipping. Custom applications can be quickly manufactured and delivered.
